St. Mark’s is a Jesus community. We gather in worship to nurture and inspire one another as we reach out with the good news of God in Christ!
As Christians we seek God's direction for our lives and the life of our church. Our call to be a living, breathing member of the Body of Christ requires that we educate ourselves about the ways of Christ, seek His association through prayer, share His love, and enter into fellowship with others.
St. Mark’s congregational demographics can be described as being a healthy, diverse group with a mix of families including those dating, newly married, with school-aged children, early career, mid-career, and retired individuals. Our congregation is well represented throughout the local community with virtually every vocation represented.

St. Mark's was organized as a mission in 1895, shortly after the establishment of Bay City, by a group of parishioners from Christ Church, Matagorda. We will be celebrating 130 years of being an active church within the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in 2025.
